Fidelio Update – Board Leadership in a Complex World: Fidelio’s “A Seat at the Table” for Senior Female Executives

London, 8th July 2016 – the UK’s surprise referendum vote has created shockwaves globally. Where political leadership has faltered, business must carry on. High calibre leadership in the Boardroom is imperative.

Fidelio’s “A Seat at the Table” programme for senior female executives addresses this need. Next held on 13th – 14th September 2016 at Leeds Castle, Kent, UK, the “A Seat at the Table” Programme is clearly focused on enhancing Board effectiveness and empowering senior female executives to succeed to the top table and at the top table. Business and politics seek leaders capable of dealing with the challenges ahead; and Fidelio contributes to the pipeline of female CEOs and Chairmen.

In September we will be joined by participants from leading companies and organisations from the US, Europe and Africa who will hone Board skills and explore routes to and success in the Boardroom. Highly experienced practitioners and Board Directors will guide towards Board effectiveness through the following themes:

  • Dr Christine Chow, Hermes Investment Management – the shareholder’s perspective on corporate governance, executive remuneration and Board composition.
  • Rod Chamberlain, Non-Executive Director, Financial Services and Not-for-Profit; CEO mentor; former MD & COO, Nomura International – the profile of a Director; defining key attributes; Executive vs. Non-Executive.
  • Christopher Heimann, Theatre Director; Head of Improvisation, Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) – personal impact and authority en route to the Boardroom and at the Board table.
  • Elisabeth, Lady Stheeman, Experienced Non-Executive Director, Germany and the UK;  Advisor to the Bank of England – the transition to the Boardroom; sector expertise at the Boardroom table; Anglo-German Board diversity.
  • Anne de Kerckhove, CEO Iron Capital; Non-Executive Director 7digital – disruption; entrepreneurship, energy and diversity at the Boardroom table.
