Fidelio Breakfast – “Effective IR in Times of Market Dislocation”, 1 September 2016

IR has a pivotal role to play in times of volatility and uncertainty.  As a Search consultancy with deep expertise in senior IR and Finance and Governance roles, Fidelio seeks to understand what the attributes and skill sets are that enable IR to succeed in times of turmoil.  We are therefore delighted to be joined by two highly experienced IR/senior finance professionals who will share their insight and experience on the contribution of IR in turbulent times:

• Fergus MacLeod  – former Head of Investor Relations and Strategy, BP
• Richard O’Connor –  Head of Investor Relations, RBS

With particular reference to both Deepwater Horizon and the 2008 Financial Crisis, Fergus and Richard will address the following questions:

• How does IR engage with the market in times of extreme turmoil?
• In times of crisis, what is the role of IR internally?
• What does Brexit mean for the IR profession?
