Fidelio Board Breakfast – "Board & Leadership Diversity in Japan", Date TBC

Globally the importance of diversity at leadership level is recognised but progress toward that goal is uneven. Japan has a deep bench of global companies, but is not leading the path towards diversity. 48% of Japanese companies do not have a female Board member. In 2015 the Japanese government revised the national target for female representation on corporate Boards down from 30% by 2020 to 7% by 2021 due to slow progress increasing female representation.

As a Board Development and Executive Search consultancy with a recognised track record in enhancing diversity internationally, Fidelio will be joined by Yoko Dochi, Global Head of Treasury and Investor Relations, Toyota. Yoko will explore the diversity challenge that is facing Japan and Japanese corporates, and the initiatives that leading companies are undertaking to move the dial on this critical issue. We will also explore the connected challenge of increasing diversity across the automotive industry.

Our guests at this Fidelio Board breakfast will be Chairmen, Non-Executive and Executive Directors. The breakfast is by personal invitation only. If you are interested in enhancing the diversity of your Board and/or leadership team and learning more about how Fidelio supports Chairmen through Search, Evaluation and Development, please contact Emily Baker.
