Can the EU survive 10 more years? Fidelio Board Breakfast with David Thomas MBE, Executive Chairman of the Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe (COBCOE), 23 June 2015

As the threat of Brexit looms, Fidelio has posed the questions, Will the EU be with us in 10 years’ time? And what does this mean for Boards and business leaders?

In our work with Chairmen on Board composition and Board development, we recognise how important the issue of British membership of the EU is. Therefore to address the above questions, Fidelio was delighted to host a Board breakfast with David Thomas MBE, Executive Chairman of the Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe (COBCOE). In particular we explored the following:

  • Does it matter to business if the EU does not survive the next 10 years?
  • What should Boards and business leaders be doing to mitigate this risk?
  • What are the implications for Board composition?
