Fidelio’s “A Seat at the Table”

Programme for Senior Executives and Directors, 24-25 September 2019

The best concentrated injection of development and learning that I have ever had… It hits the mark perfectly”

  • FTSE 100 Group HR Executive

“The programme had a huge impact on my effectiveness in my current Board role, and I continue to refer to the material going forward in Board positions”

  • Non-Executive Director, Euronext Paris & FTSE 250

Fidelio will host the seventh iteration of the “A Seat at the Table” Programme on Tuesday 24th – Wednesday 25th September 2019 at Hever Castle, Kent.

Fidelio is accredited by the Hampton-Alexander Review for our contribution to increasing gender diversity on Boards and leadership teams beyond the FTSE 350. This reflects the impact of A Seat at the Table, which provides participants with the practical tools that will help them succeed to and at  the top table. Fidelio’s primary research with leading global clients and Boards underpins the Programme in particular the five attributes of leadership:

  1. Understanding the complexity of shareholder and stakeholder expectations for the leadership team
  2. A firm grasp of governance, including formal and informal power structures
  3. Presence and authority; personal impact; the ability to influence
  4. Reinforcing networks; networks of support and networks of reciprocity
  5. Resilience under extreme pressure

The seventh iteration of the Programme will welcome contributors with a wide range of expertise, including three female Chairs, a FTSE 5 Company Secretary, a Professor of Governance and the Head of Improvisation at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Participants will develop a network of senior individuals in executive committee and non-executive roles internationally and in September we will be joined by a select group of senior executives from a range of sectors and geographies.

Fidelio builds Boards fit for the future through evaluation, development and search, and diversity is core. A Seat at the Table contributes in a tangible way to increasing gender balance in the board room, and represents cutting edge Board learning.

The Programme delivers results, with over a third of past participants securing a Non-Executive role and/or Executive promotion within their own company. Alumni acquire Board effectiveness skills, a powerful network, and a road map for thinking through their board career.
